Introductory classes - Reading Choi Kwang-Do offers 1 free introductory class to anyone interested in taking up the art. These classes are held on the last training day of each month, from 6.30pm to 7.30pm - dates can be found on the introductory class registration form.. The aim of these classes is to introduce you to the art, and give you the opportunity to try it out and find out how you can benefit from the training, whether its for self-defence, for health, fitness & confidence, or to compliment other sports activities.
After this you will be offered a 1 month introductory programme for £35 which includes a free uniform and membership licence. ( you can bypass the introductory class if you prefer and begin this programme straight away - introductory programme registration form.). Introductory programmes start on the first training class of the month and give you the opportunity to be taught the basics and try some of the drills before committing yourself to enrolling. It also gives you the opportunity to discuss any questions you may have with the instructors, and to speak to established students and find out why they get so much enjoyment from their training.
Regular classes - Classes are held each week on Tuesday and Thursday. The regular class times are 6.30pm to 8.00pm for beginners. Advanced classes run from 8.00pm to 9.30pm but on the nights when the introductory classes are held, the second session is open to all students, so if you want to continue and start your introductory programme there and then, you can do so.
If you decide that CHOI KWANG-DO is not for you, then there are no obligations. You will have had a good insight to the art, plus a useful grounding in basic self-defence. And the doors are always open if you change your mind at a later date.
If you decide you would like to continue, we have a flexible range of training programmes on offer for your consideration. You will be asked at this point to submit an application form and annual enrolment fee (if you didn't do the introductory programme) which covers the International license and insurance.
Once enrolled you will be able to enjoy the benefits of training at any Choi Kwang-Do school provided your fee's are kept up to date. This basically means you have access to unlimited training at no additional cost.
