Instructors – The Reading Choi Kwang-Do school is run by Chief Instructor Peter Wood 3rd degree black belt.
He began training in June 1994 and was a very dedicated student in the Surrey schools for many years, training 7 days a week, and travelling to and from classes on his tiny moped with a training shield strapped to his back!
He was promoted to assistant Instructor in April 1995 and attained his black belt in October 1996.
After being appointed as Chief Instructor in December 1996, he opened the Reading school at the beginning of April 1997.
In September 1999, Mr Wood opened his second school in Bracknell and in the same month was appointed as Examiner. Also in the same month, he successfully tested for his Second degree black belt - busy times indeed! In March 2004 he successfully tested for his third degree. The Bracknell school sadly closed down in April 2005 however, this is when the new sports hall facilities opened at the Reading School, and efforts are now under way to promote and expand this school with eyes focussed on a bright future.
Working with him is a dedicated team of assistant instructors wearing blue uniforms. They all take their training very seriously but are also very light hearted people with a good sense of fun.
The instructors are:
